Ready Shipment of Bag Inserters, and Uncuffers to Southeast Asia

Various packaging machines are ready to be shipped to a major food manufacturer in Southeast Asia. The shipment includes 2 carton erectors, 2 poly bag inserters, 2 bag uncuffers (decuffers), and 1 carton sealer.

As the customer requested, either carton erector is equipped with a 2-meter-long powered conveyor as the shelf to accommodate more carton blanks. The poly bag inserters cut and seal polyethylene film from a roll stock, forming it into a bag, which they then insert into a pre-formed box. They proceed to open and cuff the bag over the carton top flaps and blow air to expand the bag, ensuring a better fit against the internal walls of the box. The bag uncuffers and top sealers uncuff the bag off the carton top flaps, stretch the bag top, vacuumize the bag (only a light vacuum to prevent balloon forming), seal the bag top and then flatten it inside the carton.

Unlike traditional industrial robots, which are usually enclosed in cages to protect workers from their movements, collaborative palletizing robots are designed to operate safely alongside human workers without the need for safety barriers. They use advanced sensors and algorithms to detect the presence of humans and adjust their movements accordingly to avoid collisions or other safety hazards.

Collaborative palletizing robots can help improve productivity, reduce workplace injuries, and free up human workers to focus on more complex tasks that require creativity and problem-solving skills. They are widely used in industries such as logistics, manufacturing, and warehousing.

Specifications:
Power supply: 3 phases, customized voltage
Playload: max. 15 kg (=33 lbs)

Which is Better for Liquid Packaging, Spouted Pouches or Bag-in-Box?

Both spouted pouches and bag-in-box packaging have their advantages and disadvantages for liquid packaging, and which one is better depends on the specific needs and preferences of the product and the manufacturer.

Spouted pouches are a popular packaging option for liquids due to their flexibility and convenience. They are lightweight, easy to store, and can be customized in various shapes and sizes. Spouted pouches are also generally more affordable than rigid packaging options like bottles or jars, and they have a smaller environmental footprint since they require less material to produce and transport.

Spouted Pouches
Spouched Pouches

Bag-in-box packaging is a type of flexible packaging that is commonly used for liquid products in foodservice industry like spring water, wine, juice, and milk. It typically consists of a plastic bag contained inside a cardboard box with a dispensing tap or spout. Bag-in-box packaging is durable, stackable, and easy to use, with the dispensing tap making it convenient for customers to access the product. It also has a smaller environmental footprint than rigid packaging options like bottles or cans, since it requires less material to produce and transport.

Bag-in-Box Packaging
Bag-in-Box Packaging

The decision between spouted pouches and bag-in-box packaging will depend on a variety of factors, including the type of liquid being packaged, the volume of product needed, the desired shelf life of the product, and the intended use of the product.

Type of Liquid: Spring water, liquid egg, edible oil and wine are normally packaged with Bag-in-Box.

Volume: Bag-in-Box packaging is often used for larger volume liquids, while spouted pouches are more commonly used for smaller volume liquids. For products produced in large quantities of 1 gallon or more, bag-in-box packaging can be more cost-effective and efficient, while for smaller quantities of 2 liters or less, spouted pouches are more suitable.

Shelf life: Bag-in-box packaging is generally more durable than spouted pouches and can protect liquids from external factors like light and air, making it an excellent option for products that require extended shelf life.

Intended Use: Bag-in-Box packaging is more suitable for table at the table.

It's important to consider all of these factors above carefully and then work with a trusted packaging supplier to determine the best option for your specific needs.
